Daily Journal December 20, 1997 William Thomas Thompson. Arriving in St. Augustine at 8:20 am I exited off I-95 at exit 95 and turned left toward downtown, the Fort is on the left ° mile facing highway 16. The city is 5 miles.  Iwaited 10 minutes for Buck the owner to arrive from Jacksonville.  Buck usually waits for me. The ground was wet from the most rain in many years. Water was standing all over and you could see it from the main gate, one of 4 main gates. We had breakfast and a friendly talk. I looked in my luggage for tennis shoes to walk the property in the wet grass. The rain was gone a week but pools of water still stood and it concerned me. When we mix business, we are subject to the devils rules to abide by to work. The caretaker has been fixing on the house and had taken some old trailer windows out from vacant land where he has these awful old mobile homes and put them into the house taking out the wood windows. It seems he comes with the deal not listed on the manifest or paperwork. He wants to keep an office there and stay in charge as he has for 10 years or longer, yet this place needs a new image to say the least. I can do nothing. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, by faith I labor for God. I must not forget my mission here is to paint and show Bible Prophecy to thousands of people young and old and everybody in between. I am charged with a mission little known of men but down from above. I see a light shining through that reflects the Glory of God and I have peace about it. I cannot be side tracked by any self serving individual. Then here are those who tell me how much money I can make on the deal but I do not want one dollar profit off this project. I consider profit is for the world. God's people are all wealthy in their own way. God's work can never be measured in terms of wages. If a man thinks he is worth wages then let that person go work for that world especially if that person wants to be paid for doing good or doing God's work. Your will be done. Are we willing to let Godıs will be done in all things? Will we wait on Him? I have a plan for this place and I believe it to be Holy Spirit inspired. It is for 7 titles and all sub titles come under one of these main titles. “A Mission Church”, “A nature walk”, “A farm”, “Health food”, “A train”, “a zoo” and “a drive-in art museum”. The New Millennium Art is first and foremost to reveal Bible Prophecy, the things that will shortly come to pass and is very near. I want to have an ice cream parlor and a healthy food restaurant. The nature walk will be lined with art and interesting things. Matthew 23-38"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.” I went to the boot store and the big outlet mall trying to buy tennis shoes but they had none I could tie. Buck suggested we go to the flea market down 95 at the next exit about 5 miles near where it is reported that 6 flags purchased 700 acres to build. May we be careful dear Lord to obey thee and to do thy will in all things I like the flea markets because they tend to put me in touch with the soul of man? A walk through a market lets me know the real local people. I feel more at home here. The caretaker Dom sent word to his friend Junky by Buck that he had some more bird houses. We found Junky and he had a real pile of junk on the market. We then went to lunch at KFC buffet then back to the Fort. Buck helped me step off the number one entrance of 400 feet on solid high ground. The free metal panels will fit well in this space but will hide the natural beauty. This gives me some second thoughts. If money is involved, then walk away. Do not ever obligate to pay money to anyone. Now Dom the caretaker wants to show me another trailer for $1,000. 10 miles away near his home. I told him I would be back. I must go to the local Holiday Inn to brush my teeth and use a clean bathroom before I can continue. I also stopped next door where real folk art is on display and being made by Richard who has Gilliun Barre the same as me, his hands look like mine. Richard cuts out all types of figures like animals and silhouettes of people. Richard wants very much to share in the art at the Fort. Walk by faith in God Almighty and hold His name high before the world. For the night I go to Daytona Beach where I stay at Red Carpet Inn on the beach.
